“ As I walked deeper into the backstreets of Nakameguro, the place gradually began to quieten down. Then, like a savior, I came across a sign with the word HARU and a picture of a tuna! I was drawn in and knew I had to go in. There were a few table seats behind five or six seats at the counter. It's a "VERY Showa" izakaya, but the fish looks amazing. I started off by ordering a sashimi platter and a tuna yukke called haru yukke. The sashimi platter was piled high with impressive sashimi, including whale. The additional monkfish liver I ordered was also impressively thick, and when I tried it, it was beyond delicious. Wow, this is a hit. I've found a great restaurant. Nakameguro is an area I don't visit often, but it might be worth making the effort to come here. The chef is the only one working here, so it's best to have a drink while you wait.
